In a disturbing new reveal, actress Bella Thorne accuses Mickey Rourke of shocking on-set abuse during the filming of their 2020 horror movie Girl. The emotional and physical trauma she describes has left fans stunned and sparked renewed conversations about safety in Hollywood.

Bella Thorne Opens Up About Her Worst On-Set Experience

Bella Thorne has taken to social media to reveal a traumatic experience involving veteran actor Mickey Rourke. In a series of emotional posts, Thorne referred to working with Rourke on the film Girl as “one of the all-time worst experiences” of her career. She decided to speak out following Rourke's recent controversial and homophobic remarks aimed at JoJo Siwa, saying those comments pushed her to finally share her truth.

A Scene Gone Horribly Wrong

The actress detailed a specific scene where her character was zip-tied and placed on her knees. According to Thorne, Rourke was supposed to simulate using a metal grinder near her knee. Instead, she claims he went off-script and used the grinder against her pelvic area through her jeans — allegedly bruising her pelvic bone and causing intense pain.

“It was terrifying and humiliating,” Thorne wrote. “He hit me multiple times, and no one stopped him.”

This alarming incident is now one of the top trending news stories today, sparking outrage online and demanding accountability from film industry professionals.

Psychological Abuse and Isolation

Thorne also described ongoing emotional abuse throughout the shoot. She recalled how Rourke would rev his car engine at her during a scene, covering her in dirt, and seemed to enjoy embarrassing her in front of the cast and crew. He also allegedly refused to speak with the director or producers, forcing Thorne to personally plead with him in his trailer to finish his scenes.

“I was left to handle him alone,” she said. “I was scared and felt trapped, but I didn’t want the movie to fall apart.”

Mickey Rourke Responds to the Allegations

A representative for Mickey Rourke released a brief statement, denying any intentional misconduct:

“We are aware of the deeply troubling statements made by Bella Thorne. Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any wrongdoing.”
